During the admission process, a student is interviewed by the Career Counselor Specialist and is enrolled in a program based on a career objective. If it becomes evident that the program is not appropriate to the student’s needs, abilities, or career goal, a student may request a transfer from one program to another within the school. The transfer may occur after an interview with the Career Counselor Specialist followed by a meeting that would include the Career Counselor Specialist, the Financial Aid Officer, the student, and the instructors.

Students have the option to transfer credit earned at the Schuylkill Technology Center by having skills mastered evaluated by another post-secondary institution. If an articulation agreement is in place with a post-secondary institution, students have the opportunity to receive credit for work completed as outlined in the agreement.

Currently, formal articulation agreements between the Schuylkill Technology Center and institutions of higher education include:

Computer Technology Program completers may be able to articulate up to 27 credits to McCann School of Business

Electronics Technology Program completers may be able to articulate up to 23 credits toward one of *three selected AAS degrees from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Electromechanical Technology Program completers may be able to articulate up to 29 credits toward one of the *three selected AAS degrees from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

* These selected degrees are attainable in
Schuylkill County
