FBI FINGERPRINTING BACKGROUND CHECK
NEW FBI Federal Criminal History Records Check Process
Applicants MUST REGISTER prior to calling to set up appointment:
Registration can be completed either on the phone or online.
The web site to register is https://www.pa.cogentid.com/ and is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Payment by credit card will give you a separate confirmation number as proof of payment. Print out the last page of your transaction and bring that with to your appointment.
Telephone registration is available at 1-888-439-2486, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm EST. Payment by credit card will give you a separate confirmation number as proof of payment. Bring registration id and confirmation of payment number with to your appointment.
If paying by Money Order/Cashier’s Check make payable to "3M Cogent" in the amount of $28.75.
NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
All applicants receive a confirmation number that you MUST bring with you at time of your fingerprinting appointment. Applicants will also need 2 valid forms of identification. A list of acceptable identification is found on Cogent’s website.
Applicants MUST CALL to set up appointment:
Once registration has been completed, you must call 570-874-1034, ext.4880 to set up an appointment to be fingerprinted.
*NOTE – If you miss your appointment it is your responsibility to reschedule. In the event of an early dismissal or delay, there will be NO fingerprinting during those times. If school is closed there will be NO fingerprinting. Please call the next day school is open to reschedule.
